The safety and well-being of our guests is dear to our hearts. So that we in Filzmoos can guarantee maximum safety, we count on the FIS piste rules.
They contain the most important rules of conduct for all winter sports enthusiasts, to ensure safe skiing in our ski area. In addition, wearing a helmet is strongly recommended!
Children younger than 15 must wear a helmet when using the ski slopes. For adults, wearing a ski helmet is recommended!
1 Respect for others
All piste users must behave in such a way as to not endanger or harm others.
2 Control of speed and manner
All piste users must adapt their speed and manner according to their ability and to the prevailing terrain and weather conditions as well as to the density of traffic.
3 Choice of route
Piste users coming from behind should choose their route in such a way that they do not endanger piste users ahead.
Overtaking is allowed from above or below or from left or right provided there is enough space for the overtaken piste user to make any voluntary or involuntary movement.
5 Entering, starting and traversing
All piste users entering a marked run or crossing the slope (traversing) must look up and down the slopes to ensure they can do so without endangering themselves or others. The same applies to every stop.
Unless absolutely necessary, all piste users must avoid stopping on the slope in narrow places or where visibility is restricted. After a fall in such a place, all piste users must move clear of the slope as soon as possible.
7 Ascending and descending on foot
Those ascending or descending on foot must keep to the edge of the slope.
8 Respect for signs
All piste users must respect all signs and markings on the slopes.
9 Behaviour in the event of accident
In the event of an accident everyone is duty bound to assist.
10 Identification in the event of accident
All piste users, whether witnesses, responsible parties or not, must provide identification in the event of an accident.
According to §30 of the Salzburg County Safety Laws the ski slopes in the Filzmoos/Neuberg ski area are closed from 5.00 pm - 8.30 am due to preparation using cable winches. The Filzmoos Lift Company would like to point out to all those using the slopes, that for safety reasons, areas CLOSED off with netting or barrier tape should not be entered under any circumstances!
